The 3DS XL
Coming to Europe on July 28th for £200 in Blue/Black, Red/Black or Silver/Black with 90% bigger screens and an extended battery life (3.5 to 6.5 hours compared to 3 to 5 hours with the 3DS).
To reduce costs, Nintendo is selling the AC adapter seperately (£10 for the charger or £25 for a charger and cradle), but the 3DS XL will work with current 3DS chargers.
The 3DS XL will also come with a 4GB SD card.
You may notice that the 3DS XL only has one thumbstick even though Nintendo release the Circle Pad Pro to add a second stick. Why the 3DS XL still only has one stick is anyones guess; but no doubt there’ll be a Circle Pad Pro XL soon too.
Here’s Reggie’s announcement video on Nintendo Direct from 21/06/12:
Great to hear the 3DS XL is almost available. My nephew’s birthday is coming right up and he would love this. I can’t say I wouldn’t want this for myself.
