Scribblenauts (DS) - in development!
Following the success of their previous games, Drawn to Life and Lock’s Quest, in which the player must create elements to complete puzzles and progress, 5th Cell have announced their latest title, Scribblenauts.
Although they have not yet found a publisher for this game, it looks likely to be a storming success when it is released. The developers have scoured encyclopaedias for all sorts of objects and have stored them in their database. In the game, if you need something to help you, simply write its name on the touchscreen with your stylus, and - voila! - it will appear! They feel confident that you will never use every item listed as you will simply fail to imagine what they have included.
The possibilites here are infinite. For instance, when faced with an object stuck up in a tree, do you write “ladder”, “axe”, “trampoline”…see what I mean? They will all get the job done in different ways!
Take a look at the very first video of the game below. We’ll keep you updated as publishers are found, and a release date is announced.
